We are proud to tell you that you can start sending in your Manifestos for a position on the committee. Not long now until the big day!

Just a quick run through about how the whole process works.

What you need to do now

The deadline for submitting your manifesto is Monday 22nd February. You can email this in to rumoutaineering@hotmail.com. Don't worry about writing an essay, all you need is a short a paragraph telling everybody you want the role and why you think you'd be good at it.
If you email your manifesto any later than this it won't get sent out for everyone to read but you will be able to stand for a position on the night.
Before the AGM we'll email out everyone's manifesto so all the club get to read it and decide who they want to vote for. You may run for any two positions of your choice (but only win one of them, obviously!).
If you didn't send in a manifesto before the deadline you only get to stand for one position.

What happens on the night

Everyone running for a position stands up and explains why you should vote for them. Don't worry, this is not as scary as it sounds, we're a very friendly audience.
The candidates then leave the room and we have an anonymous vote. Each club member gets one vote for each position.
We count the votes and work out who won (duh)
The positions get voted for in the following order: President, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-president, Climbing and Safety Officer, Walking Officer, Social Secretary, PR Officer, Non-Executive Officer.

And remember, if you don't run for anything, then you definitely have no chance of getting it. If you want to do it, run for it! Who knows what can happen!
